It is possible to damage the power steering pump drive dog removal tools (JD 119 and 18G 1445) due to incorrect usage. To prevent this from occurring
the following procedure should be used when removing and.replacing tbe drive dogs:
Removal Procedure:

Position the plate section of tool JD 119 in a vise, (fig. 1).

Hold (by its wire) one of the two nuts under a cut-out of the pump's drive dog flange, (fig. 2).
