XJ-6 L6-4.0L (1991)
Remove the right and left hand vacuum solenoid assemblies.
Remove the screws securing the earth lead and displace the lead for access.
Remove the screws securing the heater matrix pipes guide plate and remove the plate.
Remove the clips securing the evaporator housing assembly and carefully remove the evaporator assembly.
Remove the foam pad from the evaporator outlet pipes.
Remove the evaporator pipe bracket.
Remove the screws securing the evaporator to the casing and carefully remove the casing.
Clean the sealant from the casing.
Installation
NOTE:
Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Ensure all the electrical connections are clean and tight. Ensure the union nuts on the
air conditioning pipes tightened to the correct torque.
Flush and fit a new receiver/dryer. Evacuate and recharge the system
2Refill the cooling system with coolant.
