Locate the interior door switch - purple/white (PW) cable and cut.

Fit insulation sleeves (C, Fig. 2) and crimp/solder Lucas connector (A and B, Fig.2), to the purple/white (PW) cable. Connect diode unit (D, Fig.2)
in circuit and strap or tape to the harness.
5.
Refit the "A" post lower trim panel and reconnect the battery.
If the above work is performed as a warranty, enter the bulletin number, J85/36, as the causal part number with a defect code of 93.
The labor allowance and repair operation is 86.91.03, Modify Door Warning Lights, 0.45 hrs.
