Wheel Hub: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension

REAR HUB AND CARRIER ASSEMBLY

Remove and refit

Service tools: Hub puller JD 1D. Dummy shaft JD 14.

Removing

-

Remove rear road wheel.

-

Place stand under rear of car.

-

Remove fulcrum shaft grease nipple (1) from hub carrier.

-

Withdraw split pin. remove castellated nut and plain washer (2) from splined end of haft-shaft and fit thread protector over end of shaft.

-

Fit hub puller. JD 1D (1) to rear hub and secure.

-

Withdraw hub and carrier from half shaft.

-

Remove hub puller from hub and carrier and recover thread protector

-

Recover spacer from half shaft (1).

-

Examine inner oil seal track and renew if necessary.
