SNOW TIRE RECOMMENDATIONS (Replaces 83A/15)
(PLEASE REMOVE 83A/15 AND DESTROY. 83A/16 HAS BEEN REPRINTED FOR YOUR USE.)
There are a number of snow tires on the market, however, those on the following list best meet Jaguar's requirements and are recommended for use on
Jaguar vehicles, within the speed and load limitations specified by the Tire manufacturer:

General winter use and
Dunlop Elite 70 P215/75 R15
light snow conditions
Michelin XM-S1 P205/75 R15
Moderate to heavy snow
Continental 185 R15 TS 730E
and mud conditions
Hakkapeliitta NHS 185 SR15
Severe snow conditions
and off road
Please note the snow tire fitment recommendations in the Owner's Manual as well as the notation on Page 26 of the 1983 and 1984 Passports to Service.
These recommendations also apply to earlier Jaguar vehicles as well.
All concerned personnel must be aware that PARTICULAR CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN FITTING SNOW TIRES ON JAGUAR CARS,
SINCE THE FAILURE TO FIT A COMPLETE SET OF FOUR SNOW TIRES CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT THE VEHICLE'S HANDLING UNDER
CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
NOTE:
Use of the these tires will not affect speedometer readings beyond allowable tolerances.
