Oil Pressure Gauge: Description and Operation
Engine Oil Pressure and Warning Lamp
This signal comes direct from the oil pressure sensor; mounted on the engine. The sensor reads open circuit at 0 Bar and short circuit above 0.41 Bar.
When the gauge reaches a pre-determined reading the instrument pack illuminates the warning light.
