ISSUE:

Some 1995 MY Sedan Range vehicles within the above VIN range may experience squeaking from the airbag door rubbing against the adjacent fascia
panel veneer. This condition can be repaired by realigning the deployment door.

ACTION:

After verifying a customer complaint of squeaking from the airbag deployment door, proceed as follows:

ADJUSTING AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT DOOR CLEARANCES

Remove the underdash liner (up to VIN 739426) or the glove box (VIN 739427-ON),

Vertical adjustment of the door assembly is made by loosening the four horizontal bolts (Illustration 1).

Horizontal adjustment of the door assembly is made by loosening the four vertical bolts (Illustration 1). These bolts allow adjustment both left and
right and in and out.
