Removal and Installation

AJ16

Generator Assembly (AJ16)

-

Loosen the generator pivot bolt locknut, the generator to trunnion block securing bolt and the adjusting bolt to the timing cover nut.

-

To release the drive belt tension, undo the adjusting bolt lock nut and the adjusting nut.

-

Remove the drive belt and if applicable the generator. a Refit components in revers order to the removal procedure and adjust the drive belt to the
correct tension.

Generator Assembly (V12)

-

Remove water pump belt for access.

-

Remove compressor and PAS pump drive belt.

-

Remove stabilizer bar brackets and reposition bar to gain access to the generator.

-

Remove and reposition Power Assisted Steering (PAS) pipe for access.

-

Loosen the generator pivot bolt locknut, the bolt securing the trunnion block to the generator adjustment bracket and the adjusting bolt to generator
fixing.
