Adhere hood open/close warning label (BEC 17641) as indicated in Fig. 3. Also adhere labels to the left and right-hand top corners of the hood,
above hood strikers.

SERVICE ADVISOR NOTE:

Be sure to show customers the correct way of engaging and disengaging the locking strut.

To lock the strut, raise the hood to the fully open position.

To disengage the lock, pull the hood down slightly then raise it fully open. Then lower the hood and close as normal.
