Exhaust Manifold Gasket: Service and Repair

EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKET- RH

RENEW 

Drive the car on to a ramp. Open the bonnet. Release the RH air cleaner toggle clips (1 Fig 1), remove the cover and element (2 Fig 1).

Raise the ramp.

Remove the RH intermediate pipe/front pipe clamp (3 Fig 3) securing nuts/bolts. Displace the intermediate pipe from the front pipe (2 Fig 3).

Remove the RH front pipe heat shield securing nuts, displace the heat shield for access.

Remove the starter motor heat shield securing bolts, release and ease the heat shield away from the working area.

Remove all accessible manifold securing nuts. Lower the ramp.

Slacken off the alternator link arm pivot bolt (2 Fig 2). Slacken off the nut securing the trunnion block. Slacken off the nut securing the adjusting
link bolt (1 Fig 2).
