Rear Knuckle: Service and Repair
Rear Hub Carrier Fulcrum Bearing Remove & Refit

Remove rear road wheel.
^
Slacken, but do not remove the drive shaft securing nut.
^
Remove the hand brake cable to expander securing clip.
^
Reposition cable from the lever.
^
Remove calliper securing bolt.
^
Remove disc.
^
Remove the fulcrum shaft securing nut.
^
Remove the nut securing the hub to the drive shaft, and the cone.
^
Slacken the tool centre bolt and fit the thread protector to the drive shaft (1 Fig. 2).
^
Fit and align tool JD 1D to the hub (2 Fig. 2) and tighten nuts.
^
Carefully tighten the centre bolt to withdraw the hub from the drive shaft.
^
Remove tool securing nuts, tool JD 1D and the thread protector.
^
Carefully remove the fulcrum shaft and the hub assembly.
^
Fit and align the the hub assembly to a vice and move fulcrum bearing tube using a suitable drift.
^
Remove shims and bearings from the hub carrier.
