Remove bolt from door weathershield (Illustration 2).
16.
Release door weathershield sufficiently to allow access to check arm bolts (Illustration 2).
17.
Check that the check arm-to-body fasteners (torx) bolts are torqued to 13.5 Nm (10 lbf.ft) +/- 2.1 Nm (1.5 lbf.ft) Illustration 3.
18.
Check the check arm-to-door fixing (hex) nuts (see illustration 3) are torqued to 12 Nm (8.5 lbf.ft) +/- 1.8 Nm (1.5 lbf.ft).
19.
Open and close the door to make sure that the check arm noise has been eliminated.
20.
Locate door weathershield.
21.
Install and tighten bolt to door weathershield.
22.
Install bolt cover to door weathershield.
23.
Close door.
Install new front door check arm
24.
Open front door.
25.
Remove door trim panel (see Global Technical Reference GTR Workshop Manual, section: 501-05).
