Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair

Crankshaft Rear Seal (12.21.20)

Removal

1. Remove the flexplate. 
2. Install the special tool.

3. Reposition the special tool retaining nuts.

4. Using the special tool pierce the seal face and provide a pilot hole for the self-tapping screws.

5. Loosen the special tool retaining nuts.

6. CAUTION:  To prevent damage to special tool do not tighten screws more than one and a half turns.
