Rolling Code Garage Door Opener - Available for Retrofit - Programming Procedure

ISSUE:

This bulletin gives the procedure for programing rolling code garage door openers (GDO) which can now be retrofitted. Refer to Technical Bulletin
15-10 for programming non-rolling code transmitters. The rolling code GDO is compatible with older non-rolling code garage door opener receivers.

The garage door opening equipment comprises an electronic module fined in the vehicle's roof console. This module can be programmed to transmit the
radio frequencies of up to four (4) of the owner's current hand-held transmitters, for the operation of garage doors, gates, lighting or security systems, and
other radio frequency operated services.

!WARNING:

1.

This GDO must not be used with installations that do not have a sensor that will automatically "stop" and "reverse" a closing garage door if an
object is detected in its path.

2.

When programming a channel, the system that you are programming will be activated if it is within signal range, therefore, make sure that people
or objects are clear of the garage doors or gates being opened or closed.

ACTION:

After removing and reinstalling the roof console to install the rolling code GDO, program the GDO's roof console module as follows:

PROGRAMMING ROLLING CODE GARAGE DOOR OPENER TRANSMITTER

Note:

The GDO may not program to older garage door openers that do not meet current Federal Consumer Safety Standards.
