Remove the adapter casting from the timing cover and discard it.

Clean all the joint faces.

-

Position a new adapter casting on the timing cover. Fit and tighten the bolts securing the adapter casting to the timing cover.

Follow the procedure for renewing the tensioner bracket after the fitting of the new adapter casting.

Supercharger Belt, Idler Pulley

SUPERCHARGER DRIVE BELT IDLER PULLEY, RENEW

Raise the vehicle on a ramp.

-

Remove the supercharger drive belt.

-

Remove the bolt (3 Fig. 1) securing the drive belt idler pulley to the mounting casting.

-

Remove and discard the idler pulley.

Refit in the reverse order of the removal procedure.
