Malfunction Lamp / Indicator: Description and Operation
Supplemental Restraint System - Malfunction Indicator Lamp
When the ignition switch is turned to position II, the "SRS AIR BAG" malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on the instrument panel illuminates for
approximately five seconds (as part of the instrument panel bulb check cycle). This indicates that the air bag system is functional. The MIL is
supplemented by the word "AIRBAG" on the liquid crystal display (LCD) odometer/trip computer panel, located below the speedometer.
