Drive seat frame motor to required position so that access to rear bungee mounting post can be gained through cutout in seat slider (Illustration 8).

Disconnect vehicle battery. (See Workshop Manual, JTIS CD ROM section 414-01, SRO 86.15.19).

Warning:

After the battery has been disconnected, wait for one minute for the air bag system to disarm.

Disconnect seat harness connector.

Remove seat assembly from vehicle and place to one side.

Working on left hand seat slide and using appropriate hooked tool, pull rear end of bungee cord along inside of seat slider and attach to rear
mounting post (Illustration 9).

36.

Align new star locking washer to rear mounting post.
