Fuel Pressure Testing - Connecting Gauge Set

Issue:

This bulletin describes fuel pressure testing of the V8 range of engines.

Action:

Fuel pressure testing of the V8 range of engines can be performed by the using SPX Gauge Set TE.7635A, formerly Jaguar Special Tool 310-058 or any
suitable aftermarket pressure test set, such as Snap-on(R) Part No. MT 337A.

WARNING - FIRE HAZARD

Before beginning the following operations on the fuel system read and observe the following:
Ensure that the gauge is correctly connected and all connections are tight, before attempting to start the engine.
Do not disconnect the gauge at the Schrader connection while the engine is running.
Switch the engine off, in order to depressurize the fuel system, before disconnecting the gauge from the Schrader valve.
After removing the gauge check that the Schrader valve has sealed and does not leak fuel.
