Front Muffler

Front Muffler (SC)

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle on a ramp.

2. Separate the front muffler flange joints from the downpipe catalytic converters.

Slacken the flange nuts (left-hand and right-hand sides), catalytic converter to front muffler.

3. Slacken the clamps (left-hand and right-hand sides), intermediate mufflers to front muffler.

Move both intermediate mufflers rearwards, as far as possible.

4. Remove the flange nuts (left-hand and right-hand sides), catalytic converter to front muffler.

5. Remove the bolts which secure the front muffler rear mounting to the rear of the gearbox.
