Convertible Top Latch Hydraulic Cylinder: Service and Repair
Convertible Top Latch Hydraulic Cylinder Hoses

Removal

1. Power convertible top to fully lowered position.
2. Remove battery cover and disconnect ground cable from battery terminal.  See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Negative/Service and

Repair 

3. Remove trunk floor carpet.
4. Remove trunk front liner.  See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Service and Repair 
5. Remove trunk rear finisher.  See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Service and Repair 
6. Remove trunk RH liner.
7. Position a piece of absorbent cloth on trunk floor to protect paintwork from any fluid spillage.

8. Sever and remove tie strap securing hydraulic pump hose to pump harness.

9. Mark with location and slacken and disconnect hydraulic hoses from pump.

10. Remove and discard 'O' ring seals from hose connectors and fit blanking plugs to hoses and pump connectors.
11. Remove rear seat cushion.  See: Seats/Seat Cushion/Squab/Service and Repair 
12. Remove rear seat squab.  See: Seats/Seat Cushion/Squab/Service and Repair 
13. Remove LH rear quarter casing capping.  See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair 
14. Remove LH rear quarter casing.  See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair 
15. Remove LH rear speaker (premium ICE only).  See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/In Car Entertainment System/Speaker/Service and

Repair 

16. Remove front LH seat.  See: Seats/Service and Repair 
17. Remove J gate surround.  See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair 
l8.

Remove centre console.  See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair 

19. Remove LH sill treadplate.  See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Scuff Plate/Service and Repair 
20. Remove glovebox.  See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Glove Compartment/Service and Repair 
21. Remove fascia (dash board) LH end fusebox. 
22. Remove roof console.  See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair
