Fog/Driving Lamp Switch: Description and Operation
Center Console Switchpack
The front and rear fog lamp switches are non-latching push switches installed on the center console switchpack. When selected, each switch
connects a ground to the Body Processor Module (BPM).
When the front fog lamps are selected, the BPM connects a ground to the switch and the front fog lamps relay, to energize the "lamps on" LED in
the switch and supply battery power to the lamps.
When the rear fog lamps are selected, the BPM connects a ground to the switch to energize the "lamps on" LED. It also outputs a SCP - REAR
FOG LAMP ON message to the SLM, which energizes the rear fog lamps relay to supply battery power to the lamps.
The front fog lamps operate only when the side lamps or head lamps are selected on, they automatically go off when the headlamps are set to high
beam.
The rear fog lamps operate only when the headlamps, or the side lamps and front fog lamps, are selected on.
