Removal

1. Remove battery cover and disconnect ground cable from battery terminal. Refer to 'Battery, Battery Cable.'  See: Starting and

Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Negative 

2. Remove door sill treadplate.  See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair 
3. Remove driver seat.  See: Seats/Service and Repair 
4. Remove 'J' gate surround.  See: Console/Service and Repair 
5. Remove center console for access.  See: Console/Service and Repair 
6. Remove rear quarter casing for access.  See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair 
7. Remove rear seat cushion.  See: Seats/Seat Cushion/Squab/Service and Repair 
8. Remove 'A' post lower trim pad.  See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair 

9. Exercising care, use a thin blade to release footrest tangs and spigots from mounting plate.

10. Remove footrest mounting plate securing bolts and remove mounting from vehicle.
