Removal

1. Open the driver's door, or both doors if necessary, to allow the side windows to drop. Ensure that the doors remain open until after the battery has

been disconnected.

2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair

Remove the battery cover.

3. Open the bonnet and fit body paintwork protection sheets.

4. Remove the positive supply power cable.

(1) Reposition the cover from the positive cable.
(2) Remove the nut which secures the positive cable to the fuse-box.
(3) Disconnect the positive power cable.
