4. Remove the evaporative loss flange from the tank

-

Remove the locking ring from the evaporative loss flange using tool 412-070. 

-

Reposition the flange from the tank.

5. Remove the evaporative loss flange from the tank. 

-

Disconnect the fuel pump electrical link lead. 

-

Remove the flange and the flange to tank seal. 

-

Discard the seal.

 
Installation

1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Refer to the Battery Reconnection Procedure. See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair 

-

Install a new sealing ring to the evaporative loss flange.

-

Install the fuel level sender unit.
