Wheel Speed Sensor: Description and Operation

Each wheel hub has a toothed rotor installed and each vertical link or hub carrier has an inductive wheel speed sensor which:

Provide hard wired road speed signals to the Brake Control Module (BCM).

These are then relayed to the Controller Area Network (CAN) for vehicle use, such as the instrument cluster speed display.
