Housing Assembly HVAC: Service and Repair
Removal

Heater / Cooler Unit 

Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable. See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Negative/Service and Repair 
2. Recover refrigerant from air conditioning system. See: Service and Repair  
3. Drain radiator coolant only; refer to 'Cooling System.'
4. Remove instrument panel. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair

5. From under the hood: Disconnect air conditioning pipes at the evaporator.

Remove bolts.
Discard O-rings.
Install suitable blanking plugs.

6. Disconnect heater hoses from heater matrix pipes.

Release spring band clips and disconnect heater hoses. Install suitable blanking plugs.
