Inspect the front wishbone bushings. A raised circular rib around the circumference of the center steel core identifies the MNE 1360BB level
bushing (Illustration 1).

Note: 

If the MNE 1360BB level bushing is installed, no further action is required. If any other level of bushing is installed, continue with the
procedure below to install MNE 1360BB level bushings.*

BUSHING REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1.

Disassemble the front suspension as necessary, as detailed in JTIS, Section 204, *SRO 60.35.45 for XK vehicles, SRO 60.35.56 for V8 XJ Series
vehicles. If removing steel-cased bushings continue procedure with step 2 below*.

Make 2 saw cuts through the rubber and *partly* into the flange of the steel casing, at the locations shown in Illustration 2, in line with the casing
of the bush.

*Caution:*

Do *not* cut *fully* through the steel flange. The sawcuts should penetrate through only 75 - 80 % of the thickness of the steel flange, so that
the saw blade does not contact the wishbone arm.

Use a hammer and chisel, or similar hand-tool, to bend the "half-moons" of the flange away from the wishbone arm.

*Caution:

Ensure that the wishbone arm is not nicked by hand tools used in this operation. If using a vise to hold the arm, use soft jaws*.

Use pliers or grips to repeatedly bend the "half-moons" back and forth until the "half-moons" break off along the line of the saw cuts.
