NOTE:

IDS must be loaded with IDS-DVD120_V6.08 or later and Calibration File 29 or later.

2. Connect the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) to the vehicle and begin a new Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD) session.

3. Follow the on-screen prompts, allowing SDD to read the VIN and identify the vehicle.

4. From the Session type screen, select 'Diagnosis'.

5. Select the Selected Symptoms tab and choose a fault-related symptom(s).

6. Select 'Continue'.

7. Check for stored DTCs in the Related Events and Unrelated Events tabs; record all DTCs.

8. Choose the Recommendations tab.

9. Run the Complete vehicle - clear all stored diagnostic trouble codes candidate to clear all DTCs.

VERIFY INTEGRITY OF BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM SYSTEM

NOTE:

Global Technical Reference (GTR) lookup sequence is as follows:

1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 206-00, Brake System - General In formation, and verify the integrity of the brake booster vacuum system

(Pinpoint Test G545069t25: CHECK VACUUM).

VERIFY BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH ADJUSTMENT

1. Remove the brake light switch:

Twist the switch 1/8th of a turn.

Pull switch out.

2. Install the brake light switch:

Push the switch in.

Twist the switch 1/8th of a turn.

CALIBRATE THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULATOR PRESSURE SENSOR

1. From the SDD Session Type selection screen, choose Service Function

2. Select the 'Selected Symptoms' tab.

3. Select 'Chassis'.

4.

Select 'Continue'.

5.

Select 'Run' from the 'Brake system - Pressure sensor calibration' candidate.

Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task.

6. Exit the current session.

7. Disconnect the IDS and the Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply from the vehicle.
