REPAIR PROCEDURE
PERFORM SOFTWARE ENHANCEMENT
CAUTION:
The following care points must be observed:

A Midtronics PSC-55O Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis and module configuration.

The diagnostic lead must be correctly secured to prevent accidental disconnection during the software update.
^
DVD109 with Patch File 3 or later must be loaded to IDS.
CAUTION:
The fuel filler door must be opened BEFORE IDS is connected to the vehicle to prevent electrical activity during software downloads.
1.
With the vehicle stationary, depress and hold the fuel filler door switch until the filler door opens (approximately two seconds).
2.
Connect the power supply and diagnostic equipment to the vehicle and begin an IDS session.
3.
Follow the on-screen prompts and enter the vehicle VIN.
4.
Follow the IDS prompts to read the vehicle configuration.
