CAUTION:

Ensure hands are clean from grease and dirt before beginning this procedure. The upper interior trim is very easily soiled. Light marks can be
removed using the appropriate trim cleaning solution.

NOTE:

Position the microphone mounting plate on the left A-pillar trim. (Figure 1) The plate must be centrally in the area shown in Figure 1 so that
the front of the plate is next to the seam line but not overlapping the A-pillar.

Mark the countersunk holes onto upper trim while holding the mounting plate in position. (Figure 1)

CAUTION:

To prevent damaging the vehicle body, only light pressure may be applied when drilling.

Drill two pilot holes using a 2 mm (0.08in) drill in the positions marked.

NOTE:

One metal plate in the microphone kit is not used.

Place one metal backing plate between the trim panel and the mounting plate and install using the two self tapping screws provided. (Figure 2)

NOTE:

There is no need to completely remove the A-pillar trim.

4.

Pull back A-pillar trim.
