Undo the forward toggle clamps by rotating down and forward. (Upper Figure 1)

Pull the front edge of the tray away from the tailgate, to disengage the toggle clamps from the holes in the body. (Lower Figure 1)

Slide the rear retainers from the grommets in the body, by carefully pulling the tray down and forward. (Figure 2)

Remove the cargo cover from the vehicle and place on a clean, flat surface.

Holding the plastic nut of a toggle clamp assembly, as shown in Figure 3, turn the toggle handle counterclockwise until the nut and rubber ring are
released. (Figure 3)
