2. Drill a 2mm hole through the glove compartment damper arm (shaded area, Figure 1).

3. Install the glove compartment lid damper cord looped end into the damper arm. ((1) in Figure 2)

4. Install the split / cotter pin into the hole and through the damper cord looped end. (((2) in Figure 2)

5. Fold the protruding ends of the split / cotter pin. (Figure 3)

6. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 501-12 and install the glove compartment.
