1.

Refer to GTR section 414-01 Battery Disconnect procedure and disconnect the battery ground.

2.

Refer to GTR section 501-10 Front Seat operation 76.70.01 and remove the affected front seat.

3.

Place the seat onto a suitable work surface.

4.

Unhook bungee cords from the front seat base. (Figure 1) (FRONT of vehicle indicated by arrow)

5.

Remove the outboard seat pivot bolt. (Figure 2) (FRONT of vehicle indicated by arrow)

6.

Push seat track down to gain access to and remove the two spindle housing bolts. (Solid arrow in Figure 3)

7.

Slide the black plastic cover off the spindle housing in the direction of the dashed arrow in Figure 3.

NOTE:

The nylon washer must remain in place on the drive shaft when the bolt is re-installed.
