Oil Pan

Removal

1. WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the engine undershield.
3. Remove the oil pan drain plug.

> Position a container to collect the fluid.
> Discard the oil pan drain plug seal.

4. Remove the oil pan.

> Position a container to collect the oil spillage.
> Remove the 17 bolts.
> Remove and discard the gasket.

Installation

1. Install the oil pan.

> Clean the components.
> Install the new gasket.
> Install the bolts, but do not tighten fully at this stage.

2. Evenly and progressively tighten the bolts in the sequence shown to 12 Nm (9 lb.ft).
