Airbag Warning Lamp Illuminated with DTC B0061-64 Stored - Repair Procedure

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation: 

An issue has been identified where the airbag warning lamp may be illuminated with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B0061-64 stored in the Restraints
Control Module (RCM). This may be caused by the Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) DTC broadcast to the RCM momentarily ceasing during an
extended engine 'crank' of eight (8) seconds or longer.

NOTE:

The Supplemental Restraints System (SRS) performance is not impaired as a result of this condition.

Action: 

In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to reconfigure the RCM.

RECONFIGURE THE RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE

CAUTION:

A Midtronics PSC-550 Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis / module programming.
