Spring 

Removal

CAUTION:  Replacement of nuts and bolts: Various thread-locking devices are used on nuts and bolts throughout the vehicle. These devices restrict
the number of times a nut or bolt can be used. 

1. Remove front shock absorber. 

NOTE:  For assembly reference, record the number of turns of the tool handle it takes to release the spring pressure.

2. Release spring pressure.

Attach tape to spring coil to reference position of spring compressors upper retaining arms.

Rotate handle until spring pressure is released.

NOTE:  For assembly reference, note the number of spring packers. The number of spring packers depends on the spring rating, some vehicles do not
have spring packers fitted.

3. Disassemble spring assembly.

Release lower retaining arms.

-

Remove adapter tool.

-

Remove spring pan.

-

If fitted, remove spring packer(s).

-

Remove spring packing washer.
