Insert and position mirror reinforcement in door (Fig. 2). Align mounting holes in door and reinforcement.

Working from inside door panel, center punch location of reinforcement mounting holes C in door bottom (Fig. 3). Then remove reinforcement.

Center punch reinforcement mounting holes C from outside of door bottom and drill holes C to diameter of 5/16-inch.

Prepare door for painting (seal hem flange, prime, and paint jams). Be sure to prime bare edges of all drilled holes with an epoxy chromate or zinc
base primer.
8.
Reinstall and attach reinforcement to door outer panel at mounting holes B with pop rivets (Fig. 3).
NOTE:
Apply 3M 08646 sealer to rivets prior to installation (In Canada use 3M 86464).
9.
Install reinforcement bottom retaining bolts in holes C (Fig. 3).
