Axle Bearing: Service and Repair
Axle Tube Bearing Replace
1. Remove intermediate shaft as previously outlined.
2. Insert tools J-34659-3 and 4 or equivalents through outer end of axle tube, then working from access hole in shift motor housing, connect tool
J-34659-1 to tools previously mentioned.
3. Position remover tool behind bearing, then tighten nut and remove bearing through access hole in shift motor housing.
4. Position new bearing into housing, then drive bearing into position using tool J-34659-2.
5. Install intermediate shaft.
