Axle Shaft: Service and Repair
Intermediate Shaft
Fig. 3 Intermediate shaft retaining clip
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove axle housing cover and drain lubricant from housing.
3. Remove right axle shaft as outlined previously.
4. Remove intermediate shaft retaining clip, then the intermediate shaft.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
