Fuel Injector Replacement
Fuel Injector Components
REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the throttle body upper air inlet bonnet.
2.
Remove the throttle body lower air inlet bonnet. Remove the fuel injector electrical connector by compressing the lock tabs, and lifting straight
up.
3.
Remove the injector retaining screws, and the retainer.
Fuel Injector Removal
4.
Using a small pair of pliers, carefully lift at the center of the injector, and loosen the injector by rocking it back and forth. Do not twist the injector
to free it, because it has a locating tab that fits into a slot in the throttle body bore. After the injector is removed discard both injector "O" rings
and the old centering ring.
INSTALLATION
1.
Lubricate the replacement lower "O" ring with light weight oil, and install it into the bottom of the housing bore.
