Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
Front Coil Spring Replace
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Remove wheel, then position a suitable jack under axle.
3.
Scribe alignment marks, then disconnect front propeller shaft from axle.
4.
Disconnect lower control arm, stabilizer bar link and shock absorber from axle, then the track bar from side sill.
5.
Disconnect center steering link from pitman arm.
6.
Carefully lower axle assembly, then loosen spring retainer attaching nut and remove coil spring from vehicle.
7.
Reverse procedure to install. Tighten lower control arm, stabilizer bar link, track bar and center steering link to retaining nuts and bolts to
specifications.
