Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair
ISA Removal/Installation
REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect and remove throttle return springs.
2.
Disconnect ISA electrical connector from ISA motor.
CAUTION:Do not remove the ISA motor-to-bracket nuts without the use of a backup wrench on the stud nuts. The ISA motor and its internal
components could be damaged if the mounting studs dislocate from the ISA assembly.
3.
Remove the ISA mounting nuts, using a backup wrench, then the ISA assembly from the bracket.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install ISA motor assembly on mounting bracket, and tighten mounting nuts.
2.
Connect the ISA motor electrical connector to the ISA motor.
3.
Connect the throttle return springs.
4.
Adjust the ISA motor. Go to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES to adjust the ISA motor.
