Fuel Return Line: Service and Repair
Fuel Tank/Lines/Filler
REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect the negative battery cable, and remove the filler cap. Using a gasoline storage/siphon tank or acceptible substitute, drain the fuel tank.
Fuel Filler Neck Hoses

Raise and support the vehicle. Disconnect the fuel fill hose, and vent hose from the filler neck.
3.
Disconnect the fuel pump and gauge sender unit wire connectors at the pump/sender unit. Remove any tie straps securing the connector harness to
the fuel supply and return tubes. Disconnect the vent hose from the vent tube.
Fuel Tank Hoses (MJ)
4.
Disconnect the fuel supply and return hoses from the tubes.
