Rollover/Pressure Relief Valve: Service and Repair
Roll Over Valve
REMOVAL
1.
The fuel tank must be removed to replace the pressure relief/rollover valve. Refer to Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air
Induction/Fuel Tank/Service and Repair for correct procedure.
2.
Remove the rollover valve by prying upward on one side of the valve with a screwdriver, and then roll the grommet out of the fuel tank.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install the grommet onto the rollover valve. Lubricate the outer portion of the grommet with light oil.
2.
Start one side of the rollover valve/grommet assembly into the opening in the fuel tank. Using fingers only, press the valve/grommet into place.
3.
Reinstall the fuel tank, refering to FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION for correct procedure.
