Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1.
Remove axle shaft (4wd vehicles only).
2.
Remove the disc brake caliper from the steering knuckle.
3.
Remove upper and lower ball joint nuts.
4.
Unseat ball stud-to-steering knuckle cotter pins and retaining nuts.
5.
Strike the steering knuckle with a brass hammer to loosen. Remove it from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1.
Position the steering knuckle over the ball studs and install the retaining nuts.
2.
Tighten the retaining nuts with 101 Nm (75 ft-lbs) and install replacement cotter pins..
3.
Install the disc brake caliper on the steering knuckle.
4.
Install axle shaft (4wd vehicles only).
