Remove valve body as previously described, then remove servo piston cover snap ring.

2.

Remove servo piston and cover with compressed air, Fig. 20, through oil hole in servo boss; use just enough air pressure to remove piston.

3.

Remove and discard seal and O-ring from cover and piston and inspect E-ring, piston, spring and retainer, piston rod and piston spring for
excessive wear or damage, Fig. 21. Replace worn or damaged parts.

4.

Install new seals on cover and piston. Lubricate servo components with clean transmission fluid, assemble and install being sure servo piston rod is
properly engaged in second coast brake band.
