Clutch Master Cylinder: Service and Repair

Disconnect hydraulic line from master cylinder, then plug opening to prevent dirt from entering line.

Remove cylinder pushrod to clutch pedal cotter pin and washer, then slide rod off pedal pivot. On 1989-92 models, it is necessary to remove the
lower instrument panel cover to gain access to pushrod.
3.
Remove master cylinder to dash panel attaching nuts, then the master cylinder.
4.
Reverse procedure to install. Tighten master cylinder attaching nuts to specifications. Bleed the hydraulic system.
