Carefully pull out the trim panel to remove it using tool J-24595.

Locate the washer hose near the washer wiper motor (Figure 2).

Install a new in-line check valve (B) with the arrow on the valve pointing in the direction of solvent flow.
A.
If the check valve is being moved from the underhood location, remove 1-inch (25.4 mm) of hose to allow the installation of the check
valve.
B.
If the check valve was installed in the liftgate, remove the check valve and replace it with the new valve.
9.
If a rosebud fastener (C) has not been installed, install it using the existing hole to retain the washer hose and wiring harness.
10.
Lower the liftgate and check the rear washer operation by running the pump for at least 15 seconds.
11.
Install the liftgate trim panel.
