Remove the oil slinger from the crankshaft.

Remove the camshaft retaining bolt and remove the sprockets and chain as an assembly, Figure 2.

INSTALLATION
1.
Being sure the timing chain tensioner lever is in the unlock (down) position, pull the tensioner block toward the tension lever to compress the
spring, Figure 3.
2.
With the tensioner in the retracted position move the tensioner lever to the lock position.
NOTE:
IF THE TENSIONER IS TO BE REPLACED THE OIL PAN MUST BE REMOVED.
3.
Install the crankshaft/camshaft sprockets and timing chain. Ensure the timing marks on the sprockets are properly aligned, Figure 1.
