THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 2.5L OR 4.OL ENGINE.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Water ingestion through the engine air intake system of the vehicle. This condition will worsen as vehicle speed and/or depth of the water increases.
NOTE:
THIS TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN WILL IMPROVE THE FORDING CAPABILITY OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE OPERATOR
MUST STILL USE CARE WHEN FORDING WATER AS ENGINE DAMAGE DUE TO WATER INGESTION IS NOT A WARRANTABLE
FAILURE.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves modification of the air induction system at the air cleaner.

Open the hood and remove the air cleaner housing from the vehicle.
